A Sustainable Orphan Sponsorship Program
In Bangladesh, millions of children are orphaned due to poverty, disease, and natural disasters. The majority of these orphans are cared for by their grandparents, aunts and uncles, or older siblings. However, with little to no income, these caregivers often struggle to provide even the most basic necessities for the children in their care.
Dollar A Day’s Orphan Sponsorship Project aims to provide a sustainable means of improving the lives of orphans in Bangladesh. Instead of handing the money directly to the caregivers of the orphans, we purchase and hand them goats – the poor man’s cows- so that they can start goat farming and ensure sustainable financial growth that will provide long-term solutions to the nutritional, educational and other needs of the unfortunate children. How it will work
Dollar A Day will help an orphan or impoverished kid by providing him/her with three females goats. The orphans’ guardians will keep an eye on the revenue and use it to pay for food, education, and other necessities of the orphan. It is projected that within two years, the goat population will increase up to 18 to 27. Dollar a Day will bear the cost of vaccination and other treatments for the goats for a maximum of two years from the initiation of the project.
Each orphan’s caregiving family is expected to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs capable of providing long-term educational financing for the children they care for. This can eradicate the problems of orphan development and poverty in such societies. Your gift provides them with a sustainable source of income. Helping an orphan has never been easier with our creative method.
